Today is day two of the project and the boys worked until about 11pm last night so that they could take the morning off. I have a load of receipts to file and mum will be back to inspect the site in 10 days. So far, all is going to plan. They've stripped the wallpaper, cleared a lot of the garden, removed the carpets and cleaned the loo. I'm sure that they've done even more by now, but that was the last update that I had.
In the garden they found some needles and some human excrement. So whoever was living at the place before we bought it was in some serious personal trouble. There is still damp everywhere and it looks like the property was half way to being done up again before the guy lost it to the repo men. It's quite a sad sounding story really. He'd left behind a lot of his stuff before the repossession company came to clear it out.
Ah yes and the antique table is almost finished. I just need to scrape out a bit more paint and it's ready for repainting. Huzzah.
